Ok, I was walking around a old burned down house when I came across what looked to be like a very trashed 86 TA. BUT, sitting next to the car was a pair of headers. The TA most likely had a 305 but I didnt know cause the motor was torn out, just like everything else on the car.
But anyway, Can these headers fit my car? Specs Below

Overall length=20in.
Width= 13in.
Had 4 tubes
1 3/4 in. small tubes
2 1/2 in. big hole
They seem to really match up to my car well.
Also, they are rusty, what can I soak them in the get the rust out of the inside.

Any info thanked...
Ryan.
P.S. sorry about long post.

If they came off the motor, yes they'll fit. The size seems right too.
Oh and if the car was an '86 and the motor is original it is definately a 305. Either way, 305/350 they'll both fit.

I agree, if they came off the car they will work. Another thing you could do is take a picture and post it here and we could tell you if they are 3rd gen headers or not.

For the rust, your best be is to have somebody sand blast them for you. That will get rid of the rust and will also expose any problems the headers might have.

Cool find and good luck.

1-3/4" primaries, 2-1/2" collector, 20" long, rust on the inside: Doesn't sound like anything now available.

Interesting...

Dude, just gank them. Take them to a body shop and have them sandblasted. Buy some high temp paint, clear out a spot in your oven, pre-heat it to 500 degrees, and bake the new paint on. Finding stuff is way cooler than buying it!

Na, Ive got them in my garage right now.
I tried to match them up last right and they look really good.
Firtst I think Ill soak them in some CLR to get the rust on the inside then like you said have them sand blasted.
Dang, my car is loud now, I just cant wait tell I get these babies on.

Another thing, some one tried to steal my car last night. I walked out with a shot gun and they took off. They already had my car door open and the other guy was working with a slim jim to get my brothers 86 monte SS. They both ran, The monte has a little bit of damage to the weather stripping. I shoulda shot the guys.

Damn that's fu%^ed up about the cars, but as pissed as you are you'd have been in a legal mess. I have have police men and lawyers as customers and that shootem up stuff just does'nt fly unless it's self defense(even then it's a hard case) Those *******s will get caught sooner or later-nothing's ever free, it always catches up sooner or later.
I like my headers, full tube Heddmans, but I still can't believe all the under hood heat these 3rd gens retain. I can't touch a damn thing ubder the hood after driving for a while. Maybe someday if I'm cool enough I'll take my hood off and drive aroung like that.
