best quality?

I got a hooker cat-back, but its not quite loud enough, and I'm looking for more power, so I was wondering what the
best quality/most powerful entry-level headers is? I was thinking flowtech, dynomax, hooker comp, or something like that with like 1 5/8 primary and 3 collector. Also, a matched Y-pipe would be great, so I wouldn't have to get a custom one fabbed up.

Hooker is good too. You should be happy with headers with the sound.

Mark, I think I with you on the hookers. They have thicker flanges and tubes, and well headers is what hooker is known for, rite? Anyways, I want to make sure the Y-pipe is available for a poor Canadian like me, so does anyone have the part # for the Y pipe that hooks up to the 2460 header? Thanks for your help

They don't make a y-pipe to fit the comps. You'll have to get the super comps if you want a y-pipe or have one custom made.

Since you have a 305 i'd say...

SLP 1 5/8 > Borla 3" adjustable catback

then u can decide on what kind of high flow cats you want...or jus run no cats.

Considering he already has Hooker cat-back, why waste $500 on the Borla?

thanks for the heads-up on the no Y-pipe for the hooker comps. SLP and borla are way out of my price range so i think the headmans would work. any part#s for them (the non-emissions ones)? alternately, how much do you think a custom 3'' Y-pipe would run me at a hi-po muffler shop?
