The time for headers has come!!!

My mom is coming to visit me this week for Charro Days and she hasn't given me a Christmas present or a Birthday gift, she wants me to pick them out...hehe....So I have the opportunity to go and get some Flowtech Headers with a Y pipe about 30 minutes away from Mat's speed shop about 30 minutes away in Harlingen or....I can hold out and order some Heddman Headers and a Y pipe from JEGS's...what should I do and which would be better for my L98, I will most likely cut the cat off and get a 80 series Flowmaster or Aerochamber....AARON

p.s. I also want a sticker if I get the Aerochamber to say....
I LOVE MY HOOKER muffler

heddmann are WAY better than flowtech. The flowtech primaries are only 1.5inches whereas the heddmanns are 1 5/8. You will definately want the heddmanns.

TPI = must have O2 sensor. Make sure your choice has the fitting for it. I'm not sure the ones mentioned do.

heddmann shorties have the O2 sensor bung welded in so he should be good to go....just don't get the flowtechs.

errrr....I have a set of Hedmans.....they don't have the O2 bung. So I'm assuming there's a different part # for a set that does have it. Be careful and make sure you get the right ones, otherwise you'll have to have a shop install the bung

chymos.. which headman do u have? do u have the ones with no air tube that didnt come with a y pipe? i belive the ones you have is P/N 68470. thoes dont come with a y pipe. But headman does make one for it.. part number is P/N 17470 either the y pipe or the headers now have a 02 bung on it.

hopefuly that pic works.. if not ill post it again.. u can see on the one part, there is a 02 bung.

That is indeed the part # for my headers...and judging from the pic, the bung is on the reducer for the driver's side, and therefore comes with the y-pipe rather than the headers

I don't know the costs for getting them coated, but I paid $200 plus shipping for the headers. Got them from Summit
