Jet-Hot Direct Headers?
Hey all,
I just got an email quote from Jet-Hot for a set of smog legal headers for $399 Shipped including y pipe. This sounds too good to be true, so It most likely is. Does anybody have any experience with these?
They are 1 5/8" primaries with 2 1/2" collectors.
I'm worried about the fit of these mainly. The last thing I want to do is have to grind on my brand new shiny headers to get them to fit right. I was leaning towards getting some SLPs and trial fitting them (making any neccessary modifications) before sending them off to have them coated somewhere.
Any quality-but-good-price places to send headers to have coated if I go that route? I'm mainly concerned with a good product and excellent customer service...
thanks
Clem

I just got an email back from them. I had replied asking for what brand they were and if they were warranted for good fit.
The reply is that they are Dynomax brand. I know Dynomax isn't bad (I actually worked on a racing team with a guy who had designed some of their products). Does anybody have experience with the fit and quality of the Dynomax headers for our cars?
Thanks

I have Jet-Hoat coated TES and if I had to do it over again I'd get SLP stainless and not coat them. I had some rust start showing up about a year after I had them put on. But that coating does help keep the heat in though cause 2 of my spark plug wires set right on them and no melting.
