Hooker 2055 and matching Y-pipe are generally considered one of the best sets out there. Thats what I would have used if I hadn't gone with my Hedmans. The Hedman shorties are just as good as the Hooker 2055s, but don't have an O2 bung.

Hooker 2055's, Uncoated SLP's or Mac's. The Hedmans would be a close second. Do NOT buy Flowtechs, Summit, or Pacesetter headers.

Or these, which I make and are better than all the others:

Definitely go with the Hooker 2055's... as qouted by many others, they are simply "a work of art". Includes the o2 sensor bungs and the y-pipe. I would suggest a Random Technology Cat and Flowmaster American Thunder cat-back after that if you're planning on a full exhaust upgrade.

My full review (with pic's of install) is here. Hope this helps

The 02 fitting is on the header itself
As for how much and where to get them from, pricing seems to vary from place to place but typically they're about $699. I got them on sale for $650 from LM performance but I can't really reccomend them as it took forever for the headers to arrive and the emails they sent me weren't very infomative.
I'd reccomed you go with one of this forum's sponsors..
First there's ThunderRacing.
The list price is $730 but they discount $20 on anything between $450-$1000 so the actual price is like $710. I've never had a bad experience with them and have never heard of anyone else having one either.

Spohn sells them for $699 and is also one of our sponsors. I've never had any problems with them either.

Hawks 3rd gen parts sells them aswell. Also a sponsor. They want $720. (A little pricier, but not by much)

Like I said, they're pricey, but they're the last headers you'll ever need to buy for your IROC. 100% Stainless steel, perfect welds. and have the biggest primaries ( 1 3/4") of any shorty style header available for our cars.
Just think of them as the "Cadillac of headers" for 3rd gen Fbodies.
Just be sure to order their "Catalyst adapter" aswell. I didn't and the ypipe was about 6" too short. No worries though, I had my mechanic make one up himself.
It's basically just a 3" extention that connects the ypipe to your catalitc converter. No biggie.....
