Since the other thread got highjacked .....
Here are two sets finished and ready, there are two more getting ready for the coating.
First come first served on these.

They are 1 3/4" tubes 3/8" thick flanges and 2 1/2" collectors that use a ball and socket connection (no gasket needed).
Oh, and they clear the steering with no dents.

Yes, they do look great, and I'll definitely want a set, too! I just haven't decided which head I'm going to get, so I don't know yet which style of AIR tube I'll need on your header.

Are they fitted for an O2 sensor? I don't notice it in the pic.

Good eye. Nope. The O2 bung will be put in just behind the headers according to Don.

Yeah and you set up that 2nd other location with a wide band location lm1 etc.. Pretty much every one Don installed Headers.. He made it easy for that location to be installed without Jacking the Car up to much, as persay not lowered.. My car is Stock G92 option so there is plenty clearance to easily install the Sensor when needed..

That was an oversite on that one.....it will be installed just below the flange on the y-pipe.

Forgot to mention......they have the ports raised .100 to work with all the new raised port cylinder heads. Most all the others block part of the port ie.(2055's, edelbrocks and heddman's)
All the smog equiptment fits (no jury rigging).
Spark plugs are easier to get to than most.
Honestly, these are the best headers you can find for a third gen.

i believe they are comprably priced to the SLP's and the two major benefits of Don's headers are 1) not having fitment issues with the steering column.. and 2) If you plan on running an externally plumbed EGR, he can make the headers like that, custom for your application

These headers are sweet, I am really happy w/ my set. You get a high quality set of headers that does not have the design flaws of other aftermarket headers, and the price is nice too!

No they require a custom y.
You could redo the ends on the 2055 y to make it fit

Its always necessary. The AIR tubes is an emissions control system, and it is a FEDERAL offense to remove, tamper, or disable any emissions control systems on a street vehicle, regardless of your state or local laws. However, what you do with them is your business.

Actually Kevin, I just found out recently that the federal law only applies to cars that are less than 15 years old. After 15 years the law expires. Essentially they are only controlling smog on new cars and trusting people to buy new cars often enough to always have a smog controlled car.

Don's okay in my book. Don't sweat the silence. I waited a couple of days for a response to my PM regarding the headers but Don's a busy man. Once we touched base everything went smoothly.

I don't have his phone number since we dealt via PM. Hopefully someone else can chime in with a shop # if you're in that great a hurry.

Edit: Wow, I didn't know Don had to move(!) so I wouldn't call him right now if I were you. Makes me glad I ordered my beeeyOOtiful headers a little while back. Hope that goes well for you Don!

I don't, I wish I had saved it. It was a response on one of the car boards that I go on from a retired prosecutor from the Attorney General's office in D.C. who said it. Basically the position of the federal government is to make sure that manufacturers and importers of new cars meet smog laws. Any subsequent enforcement of smog laws is left up to state governments.

Android, you may not hear from Don for a while. He has been given notice to vacate his shop by Jan 1, 2007. When I went by last week, Don was working on 3 engine build ups at the same time to try to get some stuff cleared up before he has to move. I doubt that he will be able to do anything except emergency work between now and Jan 1.
