Headers and Oil Pans for 383
Got to pull the new engine again to change the Pan... The problem is What Pan would work ? Stock TPI motor Pan ? or some after market ? I need enough room to run a 383 motor and the 68476 hedman Headers. Can not search and find specific data on what leaves enough room to get a 2.5" or so cross over pipe.
1989 4 bolt Main ( single peice )
Scat crank and rod setup ( 3.75" stroke )
Hedman Shorty's meant to cross over exhaust at the oil pan.
No room at the Crossmember..
So I used a 5 quart truck pan for a windage tray setup used for a marine application which was reinforced with Skid rails and then poweder coated.
Looks Great.. Except I can not get any decent size cross over pipe to fit now.

Re: Headers and Oil Pans for 383
Well Looks like a 93 and up LT1 Pan was the option..
Moroso 20185 - 20mm Hydraulic ORB Plug and a little manipulation on the pan itself and we are in business.
