Loudest Muffler?

OK, so I have a custom exhaust on my Firebird:

3" mandrel-bent intermediate pipe

3" intlet, dual 2 1/2" outlet Flowmaster 40 muffler

2 1/2" tailpipes.

I'm looking for the loudest, nastiest, meanest-sounding 3" inlet, dual 2 1/2" outlet muffler to replace the Flowmaster ... it's too quiet, and I'm tired of that "Flowmaster sound".

I meed something loud enough to drown out my girlfriend when she insists on coming along and starts bitching because my dog has permanent shotgun.

I've thought about the SLP loudmouth, but I've got a lot of money in my exhaust, and would prefer to just replace the muffler.

Does anybody have any thoughts?

Re: Loudest Muffler?

My friend has an 88 gta with a cammed 383 and the mufflex 4in system with a spintech muffler. The spintech comes in multiple sizes though. Significantly louder than my GMMG. It was deafening

Yeah, but I'm looking to simply replace the muffler in the exhaust I have. Need a 3" inlet, dual 2 1/2" outlet muffler

If you don't have a better cam, 10.0 compression, better heads you can't get loud

This seems like the obvious choice. Albeit, the most obnoxious.

I have the Aerochamber and when you open it up it is considerably louder than flow master. But at idle it is definitely quieter and more throuty. No drone with this. Hooker also makes a Max Air muffler but not sure if the make that version to fit our cars.

Re: Loudest Muffler?

Ive heard an Aerochamber on a Camaro and it was considerably louder than my 3in Flowmaster cat delete system on mine.. but the Camaro had a cammed LS engine so maybe that's why. Vinny in your video I thought the Hooker was loud also. I like the sound. Is it a straight through design or does the blackheart have baffles?

From what I've been able to see so far, it looks like the Spintech Super Pro Street 9000 is the closest to my ideal. I'll keep looking.

Re: Loudest Muffler?

Spintech is a bust.

Just got off the phone with them. The only muffler they make to mount in the factory-style transverse location is the 3000SC Split Case

https://spintechmufflers.com/300sc-split-case/

The guy (Ron), who was not very helpful, said it would be quieter than the Flowmaster 40 I currently have.

One of the things I've thought about is putting a single Dynomax Mini Race Bullet muffler into the intermediate pipe and having something like that fabricated. That makes it a lot easier, and cheaper!
