I hope he didn't give up it was looking Good..! looks alot better than my crappy attempt at a custom dash... I tried to build one out of fiberglass for a GMC truck I had and I didn't shed a tear when it went into the trash...
Like the guy who put the corvette dash in his Camaro but it broke in half???
good times on that one. dont forget the dash cost 200 w both airbags intact. but i hope this guy is still tryin cause he had alot of work already in it
that dash looks clean, obviously show only but i couldnt help but notice how smooth and clean (white) everything is but the trunk pop and parking break release are still sportin that 80s gm style.
ok, so i borrowed a camera and took some pix. i did some work on it today. i added framing to form the fabric around to get the shape i want. i used small strips of bendi ply and staples for this.
i cant wait to fiberglass but stil have a ways
Is there any update about this? I just can't wait for the final look of your dash. This dash is already taking a good shape now from here
I've never fabricated anything in my life; except for the story about why I came home from the bar so late last night- With something this large and intricate, should he have mocked it up in heavy cardboard first? Nitro

No real reason to. Just a lot of extra headaches. Cardboard is only good if you need a template. He clearly didn't.
wow cool, i have been trying to think of stuff to do to my dash... this just opens up a whole world of possibilities i would be too lazy to do.
in actuality ive been thinking about taking the plastic off of my current dash pad, smoothing the foam stuff out and then slapping some fabric I might like.
