a little bit of history of the 1LE on HPP and then some...

I was just jumping around the net this morning looking for a pontiac "last of the breed metal sign, when i saw a thirdgen firebird racer pic."....clicked on the image and it sent me to the HPP (high performance pontiac) website which the article was called: "GM Performance Director John "Heinrocket" Heinricy

i'm a bit intrigued about the article and i believe it's just one of the two parts segment. What's neat is the historic significance of the 3rdgen/4th gen racing influences as John Heinrocket had something to do with it. I'm looking forward to the second segment. I just thought i share it to the rest of fellow thirdgenners, since i think it has some historic 3rdgen value. Enjoy!

This is the same series the 2 Firehawk race cars were raced in correct?

Too bad only one of those 2 cars survive...

That blue 1LE Trans Am is very cool!
