Re: Post some of those sexy interiors
Just ran into an original owner of a 1985 Trans Am, and my friend is an original owner of a 1986 Trans AM... I think there may be more than we know.

I'm a original 86 TA owner
Maybe we should have a thread on original owners.

Re: Post some of those sexy interiors
I redid the interior,
Trimmed with red
I used diamond plate for the inserts on the door panels because so far no one makes new ones.
Here is my custom Interior

Re: Post some of those sexy interiors
My interior is still a work in progress, but relatively comfortable. I have phantom water leaks ever since my car was subjected to a body shop (who in my opinion put the car together blindfolded) - lesson learned
Anyway, due to that I am hesitant about spending crazy money in replacing the carpet, and sound deadening. But here is what my car looks like:
seats are the offspring of a 4th gen T/A seat and a 3rd gen GTA ultima seat. Since both are similar, I grafted the tracks and electronics onto my 3rd gen seat frames after I refurbished them. I then proceeded to paint with fiero beechwood paint all the plastics that I installed in the seats to replace the old broken pieces. New upholstry is the hampton vinyl. One day when i get the leaks straightened out I will look into leather
4th gen e-brake handle and 4th gen manual console. The old ebrake had the electrical connector fall off which gave me the constant brake light. The grip is better on the 4th gen one and the handle is friendlier. Also it is in excellent shape and for 20 bucks who could resist. (my old e-brake handle was very worn) The console I put in because I got tired of hearing - no cup holder - and besides there is more room under the arm rest
4th gen radio and steering wheel. The old radio controlled wheel was fried by the steering column when the cancel cam for the steering wheel controls went bad. Thus I had an inoperative radio too. I had both lying around and the sound is much better, so why not. Besides the old wheel had seen better days. (And a gray wheel looks better than a black wheel in this car)
I love the floormats.
My GTA door panels are going to have to get replaced by customized 4th gen ones.
