radio delete idea...
So I was sick of looking at the hole where the radio used to be so I fabbed a little something up...
![](http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p165/camaro355z28/gaugestach.jpg)
it actually wasn't as easy as I thought it would have been since I am a perfectionist and like everything nice and aligned so getting the two holes the right side and spaced evenly apart took some time. Look better none the less. Also mounted the tach while I was at it...

Re: radio delete idea...
well the plan was to have as many tachs as I could on my dash... why the hell would someone get a tach, unless maybe their factory one doesn't work??
Guess some people are too quick to ask stupid questions then to assume why someone has done something to improve their car, and why not ask the other couple hundred thousand poeple who own monster tachs why they have 2 tachs...

WOW camaro, someone asks a simple question and you blast them back with an answer like that.. kinda harsh I think.
If your factory tach did not work, why not try and buy a used tach or mount your monster tach inside the dash, since you were such a perfectionist. To me ( I am a perfectionist too) I would not want two tachs hanging in one spot.

Adding more gauges to replace inaccurate ones:

i would have had to blast him too, thats a fairly retarded question. there is thousands of cars out there with 2 tach's since the factory one is just about useless at the track. and there is no sense in removing your stock tach just because you got another more accurate one on the dash. plus, the aftermarket one has a shift light.
personally, i am running a factory 4th gen cluster with an autometer shift light mounted on the column.

Why do you have to BLAST someone cause they ask a question, this board is here for help, not to make people feel that they are stupid, and by your BLASTING people, you only giving off the bad vibes, and then I can see either a flame war or a new member stop asking for help cause of one person.
If you cannot answer without slamming someone, then why answer?
Especially since you have no clue exactly what they are trying to convey since its typed and not said with expression. Just my thoughts..

i personally dont like the huge rpm gauges, and i couldn't drive w/o a radio..if it was a track only car it would be one thing. but the 2 gauges in the radio spot is clean. jus my .02

Re: radio delete idea...
I agree I could have and should have been a little more subtle in my reaction and I apologize. The last thing I wanted to do was start another flame war or lose any respect from anyone on this forum, especially since I'm the new guy. But my reasoning for the new tach and gauges are the same as anyone else's reasoning, they are plainly more accurate and make better replacements for damaged pieces. As far as being a perfectionist and not replacing them in the gauge console, I didn't want to shell out $120 for a new (aftermarket) bezel, and the speedo, volt and fuel gauge still work! (for now). As far as the second tach still being there, maybe I'll fab up something to install a different gauge in it's place like a clock or something, heck I am always running late...

I think it looks sick! Looks clean and very custom, Send it into one of the mags...I like it. I had a tach with shift light on my fourth gen (314hp) and it is awesome to see. I had the same hole I had to look at for a few months and all I could do was use it to hold my sunglasses. Great job!
