Are 1LE gauges rare?

I came across some 1LE gauges locally and picked them up, are they rare or anything?

Also, how much could I hope to get for them? They won't work with my 4th gen...

Not rare at all. I have two sets of T/A clusters that have the same thing pictured above. Also that almost looks like a LG4 tach?

Re: Are 1LE gauges rare?

These shouldn't be, they're for a 1LE car... 1LE cars were all L98s. The redline is suppose to be a little bit lower than the regular gauges.

I mainly want to know how much they're worth.

Re: Are 1LE gauges rare?

the 1le car should have a 140mph speedo and a 8k tach, and the same fuel and volt as any other bird,so nothing really special with what you have except for the metric oil and temp gauge, dont see then very often

also, there was so few 1le firebirds made, that i really doubt these came from a 1le car.

Better get your info right before you say words like "all". NOT all 1LE cars were L98. There were also LB9/T5 1LEs. Also there is no such thing as 1LE gauges. Those are just ordinary firebird/trans am gauges.

Yes, there's no such thing as 1LE gauges. They used the same gauges other cars used. The only thing usual about your gauges is that they are metric but there isn't anything "rare" about them. They aren't worth much.

All of the L98 camaros Ive seen came with a higher 5500 redline tach. Not sure about firebirds but I would figure that they would have a 5500 redline tach also

Re: Are 1LE gauges rare?

Did you get them off of ebay? "RARE 1LE GAUGES" sounds like something a nitwit seller would say to sell something average to an uninformed buyer.

Re: Are 1LE gauges rare?

L98 a lower red line than the 5.0? I have both an L98 and a LB9 w/ G92 perf axle and 5 speed and it has a higher redline than all other 5.0s and it's the same as my L98 (oraange at 5K and red at 55) so all L98s have a higher redline than 5.0s except for the LB9 w/ those options.

The gauges you have are for a metric car, not just the oil/water gauge but also the volt, gas gauge metric cars have the fuel indicator with the filled circles where imperial units say 0 1/2 and 1

huh? i've never seen a bird with 0 1/2 1 for the gas level, both mine are filled /half-filled/empty circles, and every pod ive ever seen is the same way. Volts are the same in both metric and imperial, no?

Re: Are 1LE gauges rare?

Not 100% sure on the firebirds but on camaro only metric cars had the filled circles

what about these

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/86-92...#ht_500wt_1182

or this one
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/86-92...ht_5526wt_1165

or maybe this one
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/85-92...#ht_727wt_1165

this one??http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/82-84...f#ht_500wt_868

all those are empty-1/2-full none have the circles

Yes of course volts are the same, your 12v is the same as ours
