87 Trans Am.......GTA Style Interior?
Hello, I recently bought an 87 Trans Am, but i noticed it has a GTA style interior, but its not a GTA. Was this a special package available? The owner told me the interior was rare but i know nothing about why it would be different. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Pretty sure the GTA interior was an option on the lower models... I've seen a base model/Formula (don't know, as it was pretty stripped) at the J/Y with the interior and crank windows, and my base V6 has it factory...
Junkyard is probably your best bet for cheap interior as shipping isn't cheap...
Take out the carpet and spray the crap out of it with a decent amount of water pressure, say, the medium pressure setting on a pressure washer, and some degreaser. I can't even begin to describe the amount of crap that came out of my main carpet when I did that . I think I pressure-washed it for a solid HOUR. But still didn't get the heater core leak stain out . The mold and crap should come out easily with that, and then hit it with some Lysol or something to kill it dead.
You definitely want to remove the carpet anyways and then go to Home Depot or somewhere and get some new insulation/padding to lay down underneath, as the factory crap (it's the same stuff, can't find what I used anymore) is most likely even more moldy than the carpets. Anyways, you REALLY want to look for rust holes in the floor pan, especially in the rear corners by the back seats.
