Door Handle Options
My door handles are cut in half because I have a roll cage. I need suggestions on what I can do to make it look better, or suggestions on a different type of door handle that I could use.

Re: Door Handle Options
Do a search on eBay for door handle strap. There are two basic types. One that has an attachment point on each end, usually mounted horizontally. The second style has a single attachment point at the top and the strap loops down.

Re: Door Handle Options
I'm in the same boat my friend, except im don't even have my handles bolted on. I'm currently revamping my entire car and I've done a few mock ups and I've decided to customize the ones I have. I'm recovering my headliner sail panes console and dash pad in new black leather and cloth so I've decided to use the same leather I'm using for the dash and console on the handles to get a nice match.
I'll be cutting the handles just enough to allow the door to close with little gap between the bar and handle and fiber glassing the handles to round and fill the cut outs, then roughing up the handle and adhering the new leather. Basically when the doors closed it will look like the bar is running through the handle but when open it will have a clean, customized look without being hacked up.
I've pondered this problem many times and this is the only real and logical solution I could come up with without either swapping door skins for a custom skin made for drag cars with the pull stile handle as previously mentioned, or just cutting it as you did.
