Car: 1991 Pontiac Firebird Engine: 383 LT1 Transmission: built 700r4 and fuddle 3500stall Axle/Gears: 4th gen 3.42 auburn | starter hitting flexplate? | Just finished my lt1 swap and i used a tci heavy duty flexplate thats a little thicker than a stock one. car runs damn good but the starter is hitting the flexplate and making a loud banging noise. ive tried grinding down the starter gear and it did quiet it down some but didnt get rid of it. is there a special starter i need to use with this or is there anything else i can do? | | |
