LT1 swap Air intake
I swapped a 97 LT1 into my 89 Camaro. Everything runs fine but I am currently using the factory style TPI intake set up, which looks nice but I think it may be too restrictive. I tried to do a search for this but I cant find too much on what I am looking for. I am curious to see what others used for their intake. I was contemplating using an LT1 elbow with a cone filter but if I am not going to see any gains out of it then I may just leave it alone. Please post pictures of your set up if possible, and constructive opinions.
Thanks
Thanks

The elbow an filter would be less restrictive than what you have now. Most have to make there own. I seen a pic on here where one guy used exhaust pipe and the rhyno liner on the pipe and it looked really good.

Don't bother spending money on an expensive elbow. Check eBay for aluminum piping and build a kit on your own. Hose couplers are dirt cheap, piping is also. Just make sure you leave a provision for the sensors.

I don't regret buying my Trickflow Elbow. I got the Ceramic version and its a very good piece. Ebay elbow looks cheap to me.

Get the trickflow Elbow. Its cheaper and comes in 3 versions. Plain, black and ceramic. Get the plain one.
You can flip it around just fine for your application.

Re: LT1 swap Air intake
looks nice carlos!! here is the thing that worry's me, if i flip it around will that not touch the battery? and since i have a LT from a vette all of the ACC are on the left side so idk if it will be touching pulleys or belts you know. what if i just go with the elbow going straight to the filter? will that work? thanks!!

Re: LT1 swap Air intake
If you have the TPI intake setup from Camaro, you can keep it. It didn't restrict anything with my LS1. And it was putting 320hp to the wheels in the dyno.
