5.3 truck acc. bracket HELP!
im also doing the 5.3 truck into 88 camaro. i notice there was a company called dirtydingo.com and they sell a relocation bracket that drops the alternator down and lets you use the ls1/ls6 intake.
my question is 1#will i have to get a fbody water pump no matter what with this kit cause of the direction of the thermostat housing?
2. will the crank pulley and everything else work. will this bracket be the savior to all my probs...?
he is the site. hope someone chimes in

Re: 5.3 truck acc. bracket HELP!
You need to shave the entire area below to the same level... (take material away)
So the plate will sit flat and you can use the same stock bolts.
Below is the finished bracket... I welded a nut down under the steel so the pulley just bolts on.
On the back of the pulley.. it has a spacer. I stacked 2 spacers so it would be the correct spacing to
line up with the rest of the pulleys.
This is my 67 Chevelle Wagon with stock 4.8L/Twin GN Turbo setup.
Cut off the one where it go's by the throttlebody for F-Body car.... Cut allm. area off.
They now make a plate as I have fabbed here... and spacers for the F-body pump to put it out to truck spacing... I just did this before all that was able to be purchased.
Hope that helps,
Scott~
