oil pan clearance

Car: 1989 Iroc-Z Convertible
Engine: 6.0 LQ4 LSX
Transmission: T56
Axle/Gears: Moser 12 bolt w/4.11s
oil pan clearance
I've been reading through several threads about oil pan clearance. Just want to get some ideas from other LSX swappers as to what they have done.
My question is did you notch the Kmember for oil pan clearance? I would hate to hack it up if I really don't need to.
I am using the Spohn mounts with ls1 clamshells. The engine will be getting dropped in from the top.

Some people need to just "massage" the k-member for clearance, others do it to be safe, and some dont do anything at all. So drop in your engine and see what clearance you have and make 'adjustments' as needed...

I'm thinking the same thing. Dropping the motor and trans in and seeing what it looks like before I start notching anything.

pop6482, i would recommend just cutting it out, especially if going in from the top. it doesn't take much to get the clearance you need. i just cut to the bolt hole for the brake line hold down in the center of the k-member. i now have enough clearance to stick my hand in between the pan and the k-member.
save yourself the headache of putting the engine in, and then taking it back out to notch.
