Turbo Hotside

Does this look like it'd work in a third gen LSx?

Re: Turbo Hotside

No accessories? You know what turbo is on it to gauge compressor housing diameter?

You can make anything front mount work but likely will have to move rad forward for clearing electric fans. I wouldnt do pusher fans, they dont seem to work as well from what i've seen in a 4th gen

Also want to brace that turbo

Re: Turbo Hotside

I plan on moving the radiator...more concerned with the manifolds clearing the master cylinder and that...

Re: Turbo Hotside

Hard to tell but I would say a manual master cylinder would be needed and 100% moving the rad forward a lot.

Re: Turbo Hotside

Yeah does look like it will be very tight on that master cylinder. Any side views of this motor?

Re: Turbo Hotside

I've seen similar done to a 4th gen, but your pic seems to have non-truck exhaust manifolds. Also the turbo needs to be as close to the engine as possible, and lower seems better for fitment. Plenty of space available to move the bottom of the radiator forward, if you're willing to do the work.
You'll need to fab support brackets from the engine block to carry the weight of the turbo, when those pipes get hit they can let gravity pulling on the turbo pull them out of shape if you don't add proper support.

Gotta wonder what the Hawks kit does about the FEAD?
