Detailed: 1991 Chevy Camaro!
I finally got around to doing my own car! The paint isn't perfect and has orange peel so it isn't a mirror but it definately has a deep wet look to it now.
Here's what I did:
Interior:
1. Vacuumed.
2. Pinnacle Leather Cleaner and Conditioner on the seats and door panels.
3. Baby oil on the dash pad and most of the interior plastic.
4. Glass will be cleaned with Eagle One 20/20 later today.
Exterior:
1. Washed everything with Meg's NXT and a little dawn.
2. Dried.
3. Clearkote Vanilla Moose on grey finishing pad. I also put this on the windshield.
4. Clearkote Carnauba Moose Wax on blue finessing pad.
5. Glass will be cleaned with Eagle One 20/20 later today.
6. Tires will be shined with some Armorall stuff later.
I am very happy with the results. :-D Now for the pictures!
Before:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ar/IMG_6536.jp
During/After:
I forgot to take a before shot before I started waxing so this shot has half the hood done with the Vanilla Moose.
After Vanilla Moose:
After Carnauba Moose Wax:
In the sun:
Clean interior (yes the carpet is bad):
The Pinnacle stuff doesn't make the leather shiny.
I'm going to try and get some good pictures later today before the car gets filthy again.

I have NEVER seen black wheels with a chrome lip look that good in all my days. I am completely shocked. You have shattered my beliefs to the bone. Wow.... I am completely blown away... Your car looks GREAT.
Are those American Racing Rebel wheels? DAMN they look good.

Yes, the emblems came from Jason West on eBay. The rocker and rear bumper emblems fit perfectly. I didn't like the flat emblem for the front since the bumper isn't flat so I bent it and made it fit the contour as best I could.

American Racing Rebels.
That's because of the flex agent, the front ground effect is a touch darker too. The front bumper looks darker when you look at where it meets the fender but it doesn't look darker where it meets the hood.

Looks phenomenal. I'd suggest a set of black floormats, it will look good, and hide the carpet a bit (which isnt bad to begin with). Sexy car

Re: Detailed: 1991 Chevy Camaro!
You mentioned baby oil on the dash pad. Does this car not ever see sunlight ? I would think that the baby oil would enable the dashpad to literally fry in the sun - hence why I ask.
I was told by the rep of a dashpad company that everyones dashpad is ruined the minute the car comes off the truck, because of the Armour All (or whatever brand) stuff everyone (including the detailers at the lots) use. She recommended I never use anything but maybe a small amount of windex to get the dust off, and then only a few times a year (such as at a show) should I use anything else, and then only use a cleaner/polisher that doesn't contain any petroleum products or silicones, but that has a UV protectant.
I just got a new (new to me) non-cracked pad from ebay, and so far I haven't let it see sunlight - I also got the carpet cover on it, and I use shades in windshield. I'm searching for a cleaner that can be used according to the no petroleum or silicone criteria.
Thus, I inquire.

My dash sees sun all the time and I use a sunshade when I park. Next time I place an Autogeek order, I'm going to get some 303 Aerospace Protectant. If you're not going to put anything on it, just use water to clean it.

Re: Detailed: 1991 Chevy Camaro!
are they the 17x9 rebels? cause i went on the website and they only list 17x9 as the smallest size available? no rubbing issues if so? did you use spacers?

I have 1" adapters all around. The front tires rub the plastic fenderwell probably about half turned, and at full lock the tire sometimes hits the back of the stock a-arm.

Re: Detailed: 1991 Chevy Camaro!
just use spf 30 on your dash. It will be protected and shine. Looks good.
Thats the exact reason why im not using flexagent. Just dp and paint.

Re: Detailed: 1991 Chevy Camaro!
I would rather have the bumpers a tad off rather than not use a flex agent, without it, it doesn't take much to screw up the paint. From what I understand though, a good shop can make the bumpers, ground effects, etc. with the flex agent match the rest of the car.

Looks absolutely gorgeous man. Its great to see more people on TGO investing in a Porter Cable and some high end detailing products...it makes all the difference. Great job and those are some nice pictures too!

Looks great! Ask Santa for carpet though. You could spend 12 hours on the interior and the first thing people will notice is the dirty carpet.

Re: Detailed: 1991 Chevy Camaro!
wow, first off the car looks amazing.. where can i find these waxes and pads your using??
second..i had my 95 camaro repainted and they added flex agent to the bumpers and they matched the car perfectly.. so good body shops definitely can make it work.. im not body shop guy but id advise using flex agent, as these cars are fairly low and bottom out easily. all u need is a nice bump and the spider webbing starts..

Yes, it looks like a reflection to me. Might even be the lip of the wheel that you can see through the "vent."
I bought everything I have from autogeek.net, but the Clearkote products I bought from a local body shop that carries them.

DAMN! looks better than great, one question where did you get those diamond cut headlights, I have seen them on ebay but when I ask if they would fit my car the seller always says that I have to buy at my own risk, not a great sales pitch. Please let me know I have been wanting some for a while.
