Here are some more crappy pics but you can see what work I am doind to my engine bay and also the Holley 750 which will be the main eye catcher in my opinion as I hated TBI

Re: Swapping from TBI to Carb
Its billet aluminium and to put it in place you only have to make 4 spacers of alloy with 8mm holes for the bolts with countersunk heads and 30mm outside diameter and thickness exactly the width of a normal packet of sigarettes! and 4 flat washers and 4 locknuts!
will try to take some pics with my fone as my camera is not working!

My car was originally v6 2.8 and was swapped by a tbi 350 and now i removedall the wires from ecu to engine but these 2 plugs from ecu to under the dash were just unplugged and wish to know exactly what are these?
do they effect the gauges? headlights or what?
please let me know coz 2 days more will try to start after swapping tbi to carb!
do i need to connect something with them?
thanks

Re: Swapping from TBI to Carb
Here is a new mod I did to my car! the first pic is the inner fender filler shaped to match the engine bay side and painted like the rest of the car! the one in the pic is the battery side and I also did drivers side but you have to relocate the horns!
second pic is a small modification using TBI serpentine with only one belt and electric water pump the 4pk belt goes round the alternator from grooved side that opposite side on a idler pulley so it clears from the water pump motor than it goes to the power steering pulley and all the way to the crank pulley and back to alternator! (no money for march pulleys and dont even wanted to change the alternator!)

Re: Swapping from TBI to Carb
Here are some pics of the motor going back in her place but had some trouble to match to the main shaft after a while I noticed that the issue was the driver's side valve cover was hiting the wiper motor!
After I removed the cover it went down easily!

In post #11 you show a roller block, but you are not using the stock roller cam set up, neither retrofit roller lifters.

Roller cams make more power with: less friction, no cam lobe and lifter wear, a lot more reliable, ...

Re: Swapping from TBI to Carb
Today also mounted again in place the front bumper and spoiler with semi matt black headlight pockets and different plans on alternator bracket original from TBI with mounts on 12 o'lock and 4 o'clock
Where there is the aluminium spacer mounts the alternator 12 o'clock and the alongated hole with another distance spacer
The big thing is that I only used one belt 4pk from alternator to anticlockwise waterpump pulley back to power steering pulley back to crank and again to alternator without spending a lot of money from brackets and pulley makers so I dont mention any brands! and did not used 2 belts and no double groove crank pulley!
Let me know what you think!

I swapped to carb and ECM and all extra wiring was removed so no mess in the engine bay is visible!

Re: Swapping from TBI to Carb
Thanks again! about the intake I did some matching as I ported the heads but for me, Its a good intake for its price because it performs as a costy one with a popular name!
As I always say what for you cost $100 for me costs 2 1/2 times because of shipping and duty on item and shipping so it will cost about $240 and cannot but always costy things!
