Re: adding phoenix graphix stripes :)

Nice! I just ordered my set of stripes from PG. How difficult or easy was this? Did you use their application bottle? I'm debating to do mine myself or let a shop do it.

Re: adding phoenix graphix stripes :)

this is the second set I have done my 91 I did about 6 months ago and it was tougher only because I used so much application gel. it took 24 hrs to be able to pull off the clear covering. this time I used less and it honestly took about 10 minutes to do the rear. but haven't pulled the clear off yet.

Re: adding phoenix graphix stripes :)

that's the clear covering has guides to tell you where to put the graphic once I peel off the clear those come off too. yes the pre moulded stripes in both cases. the 91 and the 86 . use there application gel it makes the job 100 times easier. little insite on it tho alittle goes a long way. I used to much when I did the 91 and it took 2 days before I could peal the clear covering off. this time I run a small bead down the middle of the strip and spread it with a clean finger then put it on the car and squeegee it out . the attached photos are of the 91 getting the kit .

Thank you hopefully I can get to work on it some more tonight . I had a server go down last night so I was up late working on the server and while waiting for it to rebuild the mail store I went and put on the rear graphics

Re: adding phoenix graphix stripes :)

it's there premium kit which is moulded the standard kit comes with a roll of the stripes and you have to try to mould them around the corners the preminum kit comes pre moulded so the curve is built into the vinyl so it wraps the corner without bunching up. If you look at the pic I posted earlier it shows whe stripes sitting on my roof you can see some of the stripes are curved that's so that it will curve the corners easier.

Re: adding phoenix graphix stripes :)

That's the reason I'm having a shop do my lower stripe,I herd it was tricky going around the corners.P.G don't offer that kit for TAs,(I think) I'll have to call them.
Thanks.
