Synergy green 1991 camaro build
Hey guys I'm new to the forum but not to muscle cars. Last year I bought myself a 1991 camaro rs, as I have always wanted one. I got myself a 1991 camaro that came with the 2.8l I think and the 700r4 and the stock (non posi) rear end. Since I got it I have been doing alot of work. I did months of body work and finally got paint on just before winter. I painted it synergy green from the 2010 camaros. I love the color. Also I painted the hood and the deck lid Matt black like the old baracudas I think. Sorry about the crappy pics but I will get better ones soon. Also I did a tbi 350 swap. It's a freshly rebuilt jasper 350 I belive. It has shorty headers and dual magniflow exaust. Also when we painted it we re-made the emblems into iroc-z in red day glow paint so when light hit it it reflects like mailbox reflectors. And we welded in new floorboards. And fixed the inner fenders in the back. I live around jackson / Ann Arbor mi so it is now winter and my car is inside to work on till Sumer comes again. I'm trying to find things to do to it, on a budget. I've done alot of custom work and is a decient mechanic. I was wondering if a posi rear end would be a good swap and worth the money. On my list I already have fuel pump, and spark plugs/wires. I want to make a cold air intake that comes in the fog lights on the bottom. Any thoughts or input greatly appreciated. Also if anybody is in michigan I'm looking for some parts off parts cars. I need alot of interior stuff, carpet, t-top headliner. Deck lid, posi axle, nice trans. If anybody is around here or has parts they can ship cheap that would be great. Also input on the paint would be nice. Thanks sincerly, Blake

Yeah that's what I wa going for. I wanted something that really popped. Somebody me body else has. And it has metal flake in all the green and the jet black. Just not the Matt black. So it shines and sparkles in the sun like a pros paint job

Why not plastidip them black to see if you would like them? You can always peel it off if it doesn't look right.
I like the green, but am not sold on the black stripe and checkered flag down the side. Need a larger picture to really be able to tell.

There's a lot you can do with those rims actually (the only drawback with them is the size).
I have seen some really nice polished ones with understated inset colors. Or you could try all black with a thin polished outer lip. I agree on the plasti-dip idea.
Nice color scheme, but I'd also like to see some better pics as well.

Welcome to the board dude...
Awesome color have always like the way they look on the 5th gens....
Not a big fan of the Iroc stripe.
A swap to a posi rear end would definitely be a plus...
Also
Check out the technical articles for all the info you need on building that ram air...
and dont forget to check your regional forum so you can find other thirdgen owners near you

Yeah thanks guys. I have always been a fan of the iroc stripe, if you saw it in person it would look alot better too. And with the plasti dip. Will it look any better than if I just paint them Matt black or jet black? Because they charge 200$ at the local plasti dip place to dip them. And on the ram air, would it be better to make the ram air from the inside headlights or from the bottom fog lights?

Dude please do not pay anybody to plasti dip your wheels...
This kit will get the job done https://www.dipyourcar.com/Kit-Wheels/
you can choose from gloss or matte and their is a variety of colors..
I think the fog light ram air is cheaper ive seen some expense kits for the head light one and it looks kinda tacky in my opinion...

Just go to Home Depot/Lowes/Ace/etc. and buy an $8 can or two of black and pick up some large garbage bags, then go to Target/Wal-Mart/Walgreens/Office Depot and buy some index cards. If you don't already own this stuff.
Go home and clean your wheel up really nice with soap and water and dry completely. Take the garbage bag, split it down one seam and insert into your wheel, to protect your brakes and anything else. Then take the index cards and stick them around the wheel between the lip of the wheel and the tire, to protect your tire. Shake can vigorously for 1 minute. Give light coat and let dry slightly (5 minutes or so) I actually set up all of my wheels with the cards and bags and then just went from one wheel to the next. That allowed some dry time, by the time I got back to that wheel. I did that 6-7 times and have a VERY durable and very black wheel with no runs or blemishes.
