New guy...future 3rd gen owner here!
Hey guys/gals, I'm new here. I joined because I'm trying to sell my current car, a 2005 Dodge Neon SXT that I modified, and my next vehicle will be a 1983 Pontiac Trans Am Daytona edition. My dad's good friend has it and said he'd sell it to me for $5K. It's got 100,xxx miles but it's in like-new shape. The lady who owned it before the previous owner bought it new, and every single little squeak, rattle, or whatever noise she heard, she had the dealers replace and the car has every documented service records along with it. It's got an LG4 305 with a T-5 5spd transmission. I took a few pics with my camera phone:
Like I said, it's a very well maintained vehicle and it has brand new tires (I'd get some nice 18" wheels/tires down the road). He says it drives excellent and has very minimum interior noise such as rattles or squeaks (I'm sure it has a little wind noise due to the T-tops).
Anyways, I'm joining to learn more about this car so I know what I'm getting into when I buy it.

Yes, but I take very good care of my vehicles. I usually wash my car at least once a week and a full detail once a month. I never drive my daily in the winter though...I have a 1990 Dodge Dynasty for the salty winters. The first sign of snow, and I park my cars for the winter and bring out the Dodge.

Re: New guy...future 3rd gen owner here!
I got mine from a female owner, 89 Formula TPI. It was still a former theft recover, rebadged VIN from PA, USA. I'm offering mine for sale for $2K. That's a nice find, to be sure, take care of it. I didn't heed my friend's advice and mine rusted and fell apart from terminal crap weather, and some accidents, seems they're almost inevitable, so drive carefully!!

I am actually not sure...I could probably find out though! I'd like to get some more pics of it with my Sony camera this weekend if possible, and will post up whatever I can get.

nice score, I hope you get it! Just dont put huge wheels on it or anything....that is the type of car that needs to be kept stock, and be babied all the time. It will be a collectors item!

Thanks guys! I'm actually looking into a set of 17" American Racing Torq-Thrust M "Bullitt" style wheels for it, in anthracite (gunmetal) color to match the grey bottom...but I'm definitely keeping the 15" "Aero" wheels around. I'm not stupid enough to get rid of them!
