St. Louis, Missouri area F-Body guys
Where are you guys at? I swear to you all that it's freaking ridiculous trying to get ahold of anyone. I've got some members on my site who I've met once and after that it's like nobody answers the phones ever. I want to get together on the weekends or even weekdays after 5 and it seems as if nobody wants to make time or is busy. I don't know though, since nobody responds to my emails or voice-mails.
I have lived here for almost 5 years. I don't know alot of people and those I do know aren't into cars like I am. Those who are into IROC's and Camaro's/Firebird's seem plentiful online. No one seems that interested in 3rd Gen's at the gatherings near Hooters in South County. Almost everyone thinks my IROC has an LT1. LOL. I always have to explain to them the differences and that my car has the TPI motor.
Well, if anyone wants to get together this weekend and look at the cars and maybe eat something let me know. I don't want to be bored if it's not raining. I usually take a drive on the weekends and enjoy the wind/sun and moonlight but it's always great to have some guys who are into 3rd Gen's and Camaro's in general to hang out with. Let me know if you want to meet guy's here in the STL area. I'm really looking to make friends so that I can get more involved with cars & to have people I can hang out with.

St Charles here. I don't go to the Soco Hooters anymore, that place has become the night scene for the popped collar Paul Walker wannabe's. I do venture out into the Chesterfiels Valley every now and then on Thursday nights at Sonic. Other than that, there is a HUGE car show at my church in St Peters on the 3rd saturday of each month from May-September

Last weekend my Overdrive in my transmission went out. I still have the rest of my gears but that one just stopped working for me. So I'm taking my car to Mid-America Auto/Transmission service in St. Peters to get my tranny rebuilt. I'm going to have them install a shift kit at the same time since I'll have a rebuilt tranny with 0 miles on it. I am putting a Corvette servo on then too. So after all of that I'll come out there.

I went to midnight madness one time, probably won't go again. You can't get enough races in for the price you pay to enter. Thursday nights is where it's at, test n' tune.

There's been a car show or some event posted on www.team3rdgen.com every weekend now, so I don't think we are the one's not doing anything.
Heck BlueZee, myself and others just went to powertour last week with our 3rdgen. Where were you?
Before that was the big fastlane car show and coming up is The Lot like he said.

I won't have my car at The Lot this month unfortunately.
I pulled the steering column out in hopes to swap in one I had previously purchased only to find the wiring is different so now I'm waiting to get my old one rebuilt. It's on jackstands

That's good. What church is it & where is it? I might be willing to come up to the car show one weekend. We could meet and hang out too.

Yea, why?
I've been super busy lately, been interviewing for new jobs and applying for even more. I took two job offers this week so I'll be switching career paths here shortly. Been really hectic for me lately, haven't even had time to finish putting the car back together since I took the steering column and pedals out.

Re: St. Louis, Missouri area F-Body guys
Alright, I'll try this again.
I'm in the St. Louis area looking to make some F-Body friends/people I can call and hang out with on the weekends and sometimes meet up with during the week days. Were all busy in our own ways and I'm actually about to get married in 3 weeks but I reserve my place as a man and loving cars to try to get myself integrated more into the Camaro world.
More specifically with 3rd Gen. Firebird/Camaro owners. I don't know alot of people in this town because I'm not from here, so forgive me, .......
I also want to do some racing but not at Gateway. Let's see what happens. My ole' lady tells me I need to make more guy friends and then I tell her honey, it's not easy to do that when you're not a native.

Oh, crap. Well, I got married yesterday afternoon & have been spending time with my wife now. So I probably wouldn't have gone if I knew what the Lot was for that reason alone. That & my front wheel bearings are bad now, so I don't want to risk losing my car in an accident.

Have I seen that car in person before? It looks pretty familiar...
I don't know that I'll be down for any more racing/driving this year, it's getting pretty cold out...and on top of that my clutch issue has come back and now it's getting kind of tricky to shift at high RPM's.

Yeah it's wayy to cold after today, but that sucks about your clutch, I had one built for my 5 speed from a place in jonesberg, Missouri and I can't make that thing slip if I tried.. Wasn't expensive either only about 200 bucks or so
But I don't think you've seen my car in person but I've sent you a picture. This is the car I put that hood on that I bought off of you. I just put a bolt on cowl not too long ago

Re: St. Louis, Missouri area F-Body guys
Ok I remember now. That looks really good.
I don't think there's anything wrong with my clutch, it's just that I keep having to bleed the fluid every 3rd or 4th time I drive it because it looses pressure it seems. I put a nice Tick Performance master cylinder on it and it was working great the first couple weeks and now I am lucky if it disengages all the way with the pedal on the floor. I'm wondering if I have a bad slave cylinder...I need to have a mechanic at a transmission shop drive the car and tell me what they think it is.

Hmm maybe try some 4th gen forums. Both of my friends that have LS1 and ws6 have that problemevery once in a while, but not that bad.. Is you clutch stiff? Maybe you got a hold of a bad master cylinder.. I'll have to ask them

Re: St. Louis, Missouri area F-Body guys
I sold my Jeep so I am pretty much stuck with 2 cars now, the IROC and my wife's car. It's getting too cold to race now but if a day is warm enough I'll still meet up with someone. My project just got abit more interesting as I am buying a 9 bolt 3:45 posi rear end tomorrow with 95k miles for $125.
That along with roller rockers, new seats, new rear brakes & a completely ported upper TPI intake. So I'm good to go!

I started this thread way back in June of this year and it's still going. I'm surprised to say the least....
I'll be bringing a friend of mine (weather permitting, God willing) since he's a 3rd Gen. owner/fan himself.

I'm buying a 2" cowl hood next weekend. It's all fiberglass. I don't know what the color is on it or what condition it's in but the guy selling it is a good guy so I'm sure it's in decent shape.
