I want a fresh shortblock for my project. Anyone know of some reasonably priced builders in the bay area? Was hoping for a 355 with flat top pistons. I've got the heads/cam and everything else. Just don't wanna throw all this good stuff on an old motor. Thanks guys

I'd tell you to take it to a machine shop closest to you and talk to the engine builder himself like I did.
Most definitely get it balanced / blueprinted, not a "mystery cast rebuild" like 3.492RS got

When I asked Mr. 3.4 about how his motor was rebuilt he really didn't know and told me it was re-ringed and new bearings blah blah blah with his old cast pistons.
Could be 100 hamsters running in there, I really don't give a f**k.
