Just curious to see what the fastest stock 305 time is. I mean completely stock no bolt ons, nothing . what year car, trans and gas ran.
i have a 86 iroc tpi automatic . and i ran a 15.56 as my best time yesterday. just looking to see what i can set my goal as

Well had a stock 305 with headers and exaust in my 89 camaro, ran a 14.7 with a th350 and 3.42 pegleg rearend.

My 84 firebird ran a 15.7 with no headers and v6 exaust after the y pipe. It had a t5 and 3.08 9 bolt rearend. Since then i have put headers and full 3" exaust on it but it hasnt been back to the track.

when I first got my car I ran it down at atlanta dragway.....completely stock with the 305 TPI auto 2.73 gears...my best was a 15.4 with a 2.1 60'...I think bakc then I just ran 87 gas

that was back in 2002...its come a long way since then.

i ran a friends 89 305 tpi 5 sp shorty headers and flowmaster 2.5 muffler,3.08 single track, when 14.50 , i got way over off the concreate where there was no compound it and hooked up really good for what it was.

Well, my 90 RS i used to own ran a bone stock TBI 16.50 at its best day. 2.73 really hurt it.

These times are really impressive, I have seen cars with a lot more parts hp parts run 15s, good job.

In 1983 my T/A was new, it was factory stock, untouched. It has the carb'ed 305 with the fresh air hood, smog, a/c, 3.73 non-posi and a T5. It had about 1,500 miles on it or so and I always ran mid grade gas in it from the Standard Oil station. I got it to run a 16.1 1/4 mile at 83 mph in mid-day summer heat/humidity in Illinois at around 1000 feet elev.(Cordova) At the time I was shifting the trans like a sane person and had the stock Eagle GTs 215/65s on it. (no traction!) I hate those tires. It could have easilly gone good 15s with some real tires, posi and speed shifting. The car weighs around 3100 lbs I think....for reference a couple years later I pulled the smog stuff, took the ECM out and did a carb/cam/intake/distributor/exhaust swap. It ran 14.7@96 with 275/60s on it and still no traction at all.

my carbed with headers and edelbrock intake did 15.4692 at 8.70 mph and 60ft time of 2.1428.my reaction time was .4705. this was my first time at a drag event and i just wanted to give it a try.

Think factory showroom stock times for my 82 were in the 17's lol Got it down to 15.21 @ 90 mph.

my 305 started off with a mild bumpstick even before i turned the key to on when i first got my 305...so the slowest i can remember it running was 14.7's or so at about 92mph...it's been 12.38@ 108mph with 416 heads and a th350...it went 12.31@108mph with 113 heads and a 700r4 a few years ago...

14.48 @ 95.6 in my old Formula when it had the 305 and very little else (1LE driveshaft, crank pulley, K&N).

Back when it was stock, 305 tb why, 700R4, 2.73 I think it ran 16.1 IIRC. I still need to get it back out with the new combo / T56. No clue what it will do...
