Got into the 8's this weekend
First time I ever dialed a single digit in my life.
(Oh, forgot to mention - due to high winds, we only ran to the 1/8th mile on Saturday.)

I guess the tongue-in-cheek was too subtle.
I hadn't run 1/8th mile since 1978. Weather conditions were so weird, past data was pretty much worthless. Wind shifts that took place between going under the tower (after which you can't change your dial-in) and staging made it pretty much impossible to account for wind.
Oh, well, the season is young. . .

It was - interesting. . .
What didn't feel good was having to simultaneously watch the tach for the 2-3 shift and my opponent as the 1/8th mile mark approached.

The good news is at Bandimere it is easy to see. They have it set up for the Jr. Dragsters, with advertising signs on each side outside the barrier, and the timing cones are easy to find.
