New best for my L98

This motor started as an '89 camaro L98. The engine/trans were transplanted into an '89 Jaguar XJS convertible. Once the valve seals started smoking and causing etest failures I purchased a new GM L31 shortblock, TFS heads, kept the stock cam and added a 1.6 rr, highflowintake and runners. The car runs a 2800 stall lock-up converter and a well built 700R4 along with a 3.23 posi. It is trouble free, gets decent fuel economy and last weekend I took it to our local Windsor Weekend drag race. The car is heavy at 4010lbs so I was very happy when in complete street trim ( DOT radials and emissions legal exhaust) the car clicked off a 13.68 @ 99.6 mph.

Awesome conversion! Not bad at all for a stock cammed car with 4000+ lbs of weight. Those times are on par with most mild bolt on L98 thirdgens at 3450lbs so the heads really have helped make some power on your setup
