TGO member makes magazine

Check it out. The boss asked me to add some insight towards the present and future of drag racing. He asked me to throw in a picture and this one just came right to mind (Especially because it has our logo and it's white.)
I wish I could provide the whole article. It's actually very good. The magazine is Performance Business. Thanks to MW66Nova. I actually did it without his permission but I didn't think he'd mind

Re: TGO member makes magazine

No problem. I was actually down on myself for not asking first but the picture of the car just seemed to fit right into the article. I actually submitted all three I had and they chose that one. The picture on top is James Monroe who is the baddest Top Dragster out there. I remember when I started here he had sent in some of his "First Conventional headed Top Dragster into the 6's" timeslips. I was holding a 6.99 @ 2xx slip and the only thing I could wonder was how much was invested into that 4" x 2" piece of paper.

The editor sent us over about 5 questions about the 2011 racing year and where the 2012 racing season will take us in relation to an economic standpoint. The boss gave it to me and I pretty much stated what I saw. Where people were dropping $2-4k on transmissions and converters are now dropping $2-600 on rebuilds and freshen ups. I also said that the heads up small tire racing is an epidemic that seems to be overcoming the failing economic times. It's all in the article even though it was all quoted by the owner and not me,

The article is in Performance Business Magazine and its called "Every Second Counts." I have the one copy here that I could send to you matt. The publication is online and so is the issue. It just says you have to sign in to view it though. Maybe i'll scan the rest of it if I can.

Re: TGO member makes magazine

Thanks man. I was surprised by the article also. I thought it was outside the box of what your used to reading. It's probably because it was meant to target a reader on a different end of the sport. When I was handed the questions I had no idea what direction the article was headed. It actually made me unsure of how to answer them but then I put it all together.
Most of what was quoted by TS was my answers to the questions.

Just did Sunday, but were fighting some carb gremlins thus crap staging procedure & weren't hitting it with enough power yet to awaken it from it's nap. - Pulls good for sure, gotta get some power in it and see how it does. Seems great thus far, we will be reppin' y'all at the Duck's race.

Thats good. I would rather it be tight than loose. You can feed it the power we talked about and let it eat.

agreed. Hoping to have the new bullet ready for SGMP, but will for sure have both carbs on & both kits blazing. Should ride-out at 2500lbs.
