car crosses at 4600RPM on motor and 4800 on the 100 shot.

all motor passes @ 35total( as that's what the dyno liked) I didn't spray the 150 due to the stock D-36 and the already 1.55 60 ft with the 100 shot.

What made you swap the Stealth for the RPM?Air gap or non?

Nice times by the way..with a dead gear!!Damn...the weight helps that alot though I bet.Impressive.

thanks.

I was using the Stealth, as to try and not cut a hole in the hood, the nitrous plate deleted that option. Someone from another board told me Super Chevy did a dyno comparison between the Stealth and RPM air gap and the air gap made 24 more HP. I did not see the article, my engine builder likes the edelbrock RPM so i went with it. I use the regular one.

Where did you buy the canfiedls from. I am considering the 195cc/72cc canfields for a 406 that is at the machinist right now.

I called competition products but am worried about the howards brand components CP uses in the bare canfield castings. I just don't want unknown products to be used in the valvetrain.

Basically I am down eithere the jegs or a set of Kenny Duttweiler TFS 23deg heads. But if your canfields check out ok I may call them. THanks, Steve

The 195's come with a 65CC combustion chamber. If you have a healthy 406 you might want to look at the larger head ?

I am happy with mine, i had my engine builder check them over and he said they did a good job.

BTW, when we assembled the engine i needed longer.100 pushrods ( i decked the block some) and he gave me an off brand 1 piece pushrod ( something teck).. I asked him about this as they were $80. He said that's the company that makes them for everyone, Comps just put thei name and package on them and charge $130. Same thing with Valve springs on another motor i had him do, he used Engine PRO valve springs, apparently they make them foe comp.

Mike did you buy them from competition products? I believe their springs and valves go under the name Howards if I remember right. When I talked to them the larger chamber was an option. And for what I am doing with 406 any 200cc runner will work. Nothing real wild but should put down some nice #'s. Thanks

Sorry, a little off topic, but my friend has a 95 vette and he can't get it to hook worth a damn. What kind of suspension work have you done?

took the front sway bar off and put on slicks. The best 60' with TPI and a 150 shot was 1.64 on the M&H muscle car Dot tire. My car runs 1.88 60's on stock street tires.

Is his an auto or stick ?

His is a stick. He made one blast on nitto's, and literally blasted them. 2.3 short time and a ET of 12.89. The mph was nice 118.78 but he didn't hook worth poo.

Well those stick cars are hard to get hooked up with drag radials. Some of the guys on corvetteforum.com ( in the drag race section) could give better advice. My advice is just put a slick on it and launch at 3000, becarefull though, as stick cars and sticky tires DO break D-44 rear ends.
