Open file. Save as ____.
For reasons beyond my scope, Paint saves jpg images at a drastically reduced size (bits, not physical size). Look at my attached image. The DSC2945 jpg image is uploaded directly from my camera. I took it through the exact process I describe above and saved as 2945.jpg. Look at the filesize difference.
If the resulting pic is still too large in filesize. go back into paint and open the file:
Image pulldown >> Stretch/Skew >> pick a percentage, say 50 percent, on both the horizontal and vertical settings. Save. This should do the job.

I will get those pics as soon as we have a sunny day here in utah, and I am not working.

Sweet setup!
I have a couple of questions about it if you don't mind. First, is the hotside completely custom built or did you base it off of an existing set of headers? Also, can you describe how those downpipes are routed once they're out of site? Do they make it all the way to the back of the car??

I guess the only reason I didnt want to tap the pan would be that I didnt want it to leak. but thats cool..I'll have that done also. I'm fixing to order my sexy Dart Little M block then it goes to the machine shop along w/the rot. assy.

I built everthing in my garage except the headers, I know the guy that has a program that takes all the measurements of your engine bay and then designs headers around them, he has designed quite a few sets for hendricks racing.
he designed them and then I had a friend that works for him bubild them!
the downpipes were originally going to go under the k- member with oval pipe, but then I converted to a tubular k with rack and pinion and there was no possible way to go that route anymore so they exit in front of each tire with a bullet muffler and turndowns(IT SOUNDS SICK!) with the tube k you could route them between the the pan and the k-member but it would be tight, I almost went hat route but changed my mind.
I welded a -10an bulkhead on each side of the pan for the drains.
I am running the DART little M block also, great choice!
Are you going to run a 6" rod or 5.7 '?

6" rods. I just ordered the block today.. $1699 shipped to a terminal. Tomorrow my rot. assy will be here according to UPS.. I'm very excited..and then seeing your car and how you made it work just adds to it. If you can take alot of pics of your setup I'd love to save it to my hd.. ie..wastegate install, BOV install etc.. A friend of mine is going to do all the fabrication etc...from the headers to...well..everything.
I noticed you dont have a brake booster.. what did you replace it with and how much was that?

Thanks for the info zz4. Do you happen to have the name of that computer program used to design those headers? I think that would be fun to play around with a little.
And BDR, there are other options as to where you can drain the turbos, depending on where you want to position them. This is the most common tho.

the program is not for sale, he designed it himself and he only uses it at his shop.
he does allot of high end projects with it, like twin v12 offshore race boats, ultima, gt40 cars, and right now he is doing some designs for some new supercar in production with a 1000hp v12.
the company is called spectrum 5 design. do a search and you could find him on the web.
BDR- I got rid of the power booster cause the header was touching the lines and I couldn't get them far enough away, so I used the strange manual brake booster, it bolted up nicely and gave me allot of clearance on the back side of the motor.
when we have some good weather I will pull it out and take some more pics.

Wow that turned out really nice! I remember seeing pics of your headers a while back and wondering what the finished product was going to look like.
You dont dissapoint!

zz4z,
Those photos barely do justice to the craftsmanship and vision you've applied there. From what is apparent, you've done some very nice work.
Here's to hoping all goes well the rest of the way.
Incidentally, when do you expect to take it out for its first meal of continental cuisine with an oriental dessert?

Thank You-
thae wastegates dump into atmosphere just past the frame rails on each side.
the cam is a lunati solid roller
I.258 E.264
.600 .606
116 lsa
1.5 roller rockers
I have been extremely happy with everything i have done so far,
I had some cooling problems, but I changed my fan setup so hopefully when summer comes it will still stay cool!
originally I was going to thermal coat all my piping silver except the headers, but now I don't know?
what do you guys think?
I should get some dyno time in march with more boost and I am pretty sure we can get the low boost numbers around 800.
I will keep you guys posted!
our track opens in late april!

zz4 - just curious what pistons and compression ratio you're running. I was finding parts for a turbo engine a while back but I couldn't find any pistons for a 6" rod that were dished as much as I would have liked.

How low of a CR you tryin to get? I have a 406 rot. assy w/a 6" rod + JE pistons that give me about 8.5 or so.. its 170818 in JE's catalog.

Aaron-
I am waiting for my tax returns so I can buy a boost controller and dyno time.
I doubt I will go to dr gas, I will be fresh off the dyno at phantom, but we will see!
Texaslt1-
I am running the JE dished blower\nitrous piston 4.155. it's a piston right out of their catalog, I have the oliver billet 6.0" rods
with a 3.75 stroke. The comp. ratio is supposed to be 8.2:1 with 76cc heads but my heads are 73cc with the valves I used.

zz4z28...with spectrum 5 design you got some NICE friends...lol!
The Ultima is a killer and the exhaust parts pure art work!
What kind of injectors are you using?
ECU?
Headers pipe size?
can somebody in here post a website for stainless do it yourself
headers sets????
Great work the rest must be nice too? trans, axle and sus-parts
anyone guessing the 1/4 time?
