procharger owners...i need some help!!!

O.K..here we go...
I have a wiring question for you, In the manual it says "locate the three relays on the driver side of the firewall. The outer two relays control the electric fans, Using the supplied wires and electrical T's, ground the green wire on the center relay and the white wire on the outer relay......"
O.K. here's my problem, I have different colored wires...the center relay wires are, BLUE, ORANGE, RED, BLACK w/ white stripe, and TAN w/ white stripe,...the outer relay wires are BLACK, BLUE, and two ORANGE,

And help would be very much appreciated!!!
thanks in advance,

This is where the instructions are wrong. It's supposed to be the fan relays, but they're located near the battery. Those part of the instructions are for wiring your cooling fans to run constantly. Hope this helps.

DO NOT DO THIS. I would not reccommend doing this on your engine. The reason ATI says for you to do this is because it turns on the one fan at all times to keep the engine compartment cool. This is what i did. I just bought the Hypertech fan swicth, it is like $40, and let that put the fans on sooner. this worked fine for me and i dont have to worry about overheating or manual switches. Plus it is the easiest install too. The other reason i say dont do this is because TPI's run so hot. Wouldn't you want to know that your fans will come on at 180* at all times?

Larry,

It's imperative that your cooling system is functioning at peak efficiency, now that the IC will affect incoming radiator air temps. If you haven't already, use an aftermarket water pump (Stewart comes to mind). In addition, block the bypass orifice in the pump and drill small holes in the t-stat to allow a small amount of coolant circulation at all times.

I know in the great white north (where you live), freezing is a concern during winter. Use as little anti-freeze as possible. Supplement the "coolant" with Redline Water Wetter and a water pump lubricant (anti-rust).

If you haven't already, read my tech article on coolant fans located elsewhere on this website. These ideas should give you a great head start for the coming summer.

When I first got my P600B kit,I to was confused on the wiring. The place in TX where I purchased the blower told me some years are different as to where they put the relays some on the firewall some near the battery.I at first had the fans to come on at start up,but this never lets the car get to operating temp with a 160 therm and the bypas holes drilled around the face.Best thing to do is get the Hypertech fanswitch, the one that kicks on at 176,and wire your two relays to come on simultaniously.Remember that fan switch in the block is for the auxillary fan,it is not controlled by the computer and runs off this switch,it is for backup. So wiring the two relays in series will kick them both on at 176,cooling the motor down in a hurry, and keeping temps in check.Im not sure of the wiring though, play with it on the car,all that switch does is ground itself to the block when it reaches operating temp, completing the circuit to ground.

Thanks all for the advise,

I already have the 175 hypertech fan switch...now i just have to figure out where too splice a wire in too make both fans come on at the same time....my car has always run on the cool side (160-180) even on the hottest days with the a/c on...

Willie...i don't really have to worry to much about freezing up here in the great white north....cause for all intentive purposes the car is in storage for the winter...but i do want to drive it atleast one more time this year before i stuff it away in the garage and unstuff the snowmobiles...hhhhmmm...i wonder if i can bolt on the s/c to my arctic cat...j/k

thanks again,

I don't know about supercharging your sled but you can deffinatley turbocharge it, or nitrous like I'm planning. But why would you wan't to do anything to a worthless Artic cat.
By the way my Ski-doo stomps, ***** 's all day long, T-Cats exempt.
