Paxton Serpentine Instruction help please?

I just called paxton and they want $25 for a set of instructions! Does anyone have instructions for a serpentine TPI kit that they can copy for me? It would help me out a lot, I can send money to cover copying/mailing it to me. Thanks.

I have an instruction set for the sn2000. I will copy it for you but tell me what section you need copied because the instruction manual is very thick! You should tell paxton that if they want to get a bad rap with their CS, they are doing great! Otherwords, you should try and get a little firm with them and tell them that you spend 2-3 grand on their unit and never got the instructions and want a copy or you'll just return it and buy an ATI or Vortec! Let me know what sec. you need. I'll look up my instructions after easter and copy the section on the belts.

I got this kit used and I have no instructions at all. I mostly want to know whether or not I have all the parts neccessary and if I should install this thing to see if it works .. or just sell it and not bother installing it.

I'll call them back and see if they will send me a set. The lady I talked to last time was pretty rude.

How long is the instruction manual? Someone emailed me a few days ago offering to copy it for me but I havn't heard from them again.

I think I got all the pieces but the belt and the wires to extend the alternator, I have the blower, bracket w/oil resivoir, fmu and lines, oil lines, bolts, plastic/cloth air ducting, polished aluminum ducting, pulleys, some kind of hobbes switch and a lot of other misc brackets bolts and stuff.

The blower turns over by hand, so I guess it isn't seized.

How long did it take you to install your's? Is it possible in a weekend? I have air tools at home, but non here in

I'd love a vortech or ati.. but i don't have $3K. If this one is shot, I probably will just by-pass it for a while or take it off. Maybe I'll re-build it, but I don't know if it's worth it since I have heard the rebuilds last less than 10K.

I would call 1-888-9-Paxton. You will get an operator, Then ask for a customer service rep. Tell them you bought the thing from summit or jegs a few months ago, just opened up the box and it has no instructions in it! You cant find the receipt either....get my point. Email me your email address and i will get you some instructions.

Looks like you have everything you need for the install. I just went to the local hardware store to extend the alternator wires. You'll also need a pulley puller for the power steering. Installation takes 4 hours of straight work. Took me about 2 days though.

Car: 87 Monte Carlo SS
Engine: 89 IROC 350 TPI
Transmission: 700R4 rebuilt w/TCI kit
Axle/Gears: 9" from 57 ranchero unsure gears.
Hey GTA if you havent gotten yours installed yet it takes a little engineering and some patience and it works fine, I also got mine used and the only thing I got with it was the main bracket that the paxton, alt, ps bolts to and the one that goes from the outside edge to the front bolt on the exhaust manifold. I already had headers on my car and so I bent that bracket so it goes to the front of the head and bolted it on that way, then got some 3/8 grade 8 bolts and some spacers (these I had a hard time finding but my dad got them from Caterpillar) and bolted it all on. Since I had the headers I also had removed the AIR pump so I modified the main bracket on that side and put the alternator in its place I was leery of having an electrical item under a fluid reservore incase the P/S Pump ever decided to leak. Just use your imagination a little test and try and see what happens and it will work, if you havent and need some pics I can try to take them and send em to ya.
Oh and for your primary Q you can runthe belt anyway you want as long as the smooth side matches with the smooth side of the pulley and the grooves with the grooves. When I ran mine with a home made tensioner I used a 51" belt, anything longer would hit the water pump pulley and anything shorter wouldnt make it. I prob could have gone about 1/4" longer but no one other than the local NAPA had one and it was 3X the cost of the 51 I had.

'87 Monte Carlo SS,with '89 IROC 350,700 trans, blew up 3.73 posi stuck with crappy 2.73's neeed gears! hooker headers, flowmaster 2 1/2" exhaust true dualls, recently installed a set of alum vette heads 58cc, new cam for a paxton, recently installed paxton, OMG need a posi bad. So if anyone knows where a buick GN 8.5" rear is let me know.
