These headers any good?

Okay...I have been reading alot about the SSAC ****...these look the same but they actually look pretty beefy? has anyone heard or tried them?

Also will they fit a Lt1??? Because I think the alt sits higher on the lt1. I would rather go with a single turbo kit but the only headers that i have found are tt that look decent.

These arnt the same ones but look the same..they ad i saw showed close ups of the welds etc

Re: These headers any good?

a bunch of people have been running them on turboforums.com with no real issues. Some have supported the turbo with brackets off the accessory bolt holes in the heads as well.

Search for Turbomustangs.com. That should get you where you need to be.

Re: These headers any good?

Nobody runs those headers they are SS Autochrome, they are junk, they will fall apart. Anyone who sells them is a crook, and knows they will fall apart. They look neat and all, but they are just a Chinese made tool to separate you from your money by making you think you are getting what you need.

What is worse yet they sell turbos that don't work either. They look like a turbo, are bolted together like a turbo. Holding one in your hands you would say "this is a nice turbo", but believe me they are not. They are an immitation of a turbo made for the sole purpose of being sold online, especially on ebay just to rip people off.

They sell these products through a variety of unscrupulous sellers, or just change their name on ebay a lot to try to avoid all the bad feedback being seen.

Please read my thread about it here:

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/powe...guy-about.html

Just do a search on here, on the internet, or even at turbomustangs.com of "ssautochrome" run away as far as you can!!!

Re: These headers any good?

tons of people are running the ssautochrome headers and turbos off ebay on that turbo mustang site with no issues. Maybe they stepped up quality control? Have seen several people post with street miles on them with no issues.

Re: These headers any good?

Ummm yeah, mine are pretty nice you can see them in my thread it should be at the bottom of the page I can't remember the title. I haven't actually fired the motor yet as some parts are still in the mail but everyone I've had look at them say they are really nice, so I say go for it.

Re: These headers any good?

Im sorry. I find it hard to believe. As a matter of fact I don't believe it. I think you are confusing Master Power stuff for SS Autochrome. A quick search of turbo mustangs finds me tons of posts about what junk/ripoff they are I don't see anything good there about them other than a few lucky people with their BOV's and wastegates, and a few of the possible sellers of their **** spreading lies.

From turbomustangs about SSAUTOCHROME:

botietr:
Old Chinese proverb.
You order sh*t,you eat sh*t.

gryphon68:
..you get what you pay for, if the flanges are tweaked, good luck getting them replaced, longer term, you should probably expect cracks, so a welder would help.
Please please please! don't waste your time or money. I want to see anyone with a turbo project succeed, not chase their tail over crap they built around which was a scam. Like I said. Look in my thread I listed earlier, see the photographic proof.

Re: These headers any good?

Now don't get me wrong, but have you actually ever seen one of these sets of headers? I'm not talking about pictures or through friends but actually physically held one in your hands? I have and I can tell you the quality of the part I received is very good. The welds are all very nice and the tubes are 1/8 inch thick the flanges are 1/2 inch thick, I can tell you the flanges are mild and the tubes are stainless but I am not seeing that as a huge issue based on the welds that join them. I am not trying to say don't be cautious of what you buy but these headers are verry nice pieces and are well worth money I spent.
