Oh i also forgot if i remember right a tourqe converter out of a 97 4.3 s10 will give u alittle stall. Cheap too!

Nice...thats good to know i figured if it was gonna get bad gas might as well up grade to an lt1.....my block is a roller block and already has all those goodys in it .... ive tried to to look into...

Prolly just c if i cant find a cheapo used lt1 cam somewhere then. Already spent close to a thousand on rear supension a year ago might as well spend alittle extra for used cam.

i havent bought the motor yet but wouldnt the harness connectors be different? it wouldnt be direct connection to the dash harness... if it is direct fit awesome but i dont think it would be that...

I personally dont think 3000 bucks would build your motor, upgrade to a stronger rearend and convert your car to a standard...The rearend alone would cost half or more if you aftermarket....But to...

It will fit except for few details that must be changed- must have a smaller style distributer,smaller starter, custom headers, big block radiator, and frame connectors are a must.
