One of the most notable differences being the front ends of these cars. I learned that they would not swap, and had to purchase a Camaro bumper support locally.

Camaro/firebird bumper supports compatible?

I've been searching using various terms, but I haven't found an answer to exactly what I want to know.

Are the bumper supports from Camaros and Firebirds the same assuming they are the same style?...

Re: 88 TPI Harness plug identification

The pink wire to the coil should be a thicker wire, shouldn't it? I might have figured out what the deal is. There is some mickey-moused wiring cut/taped/spliced up. I think I'm going to find my coil...

Re: Lining up Serpentine Pulleys

I am back to work on this motor in my GTA. I've got a casting number of 10054727 on the rear of the block, identifying it as an 86-up 350.

I have torqued the balancer but the pulley still sticks...

I bought an '88 GTA a few months ago with a 350 long block in place of the 305 it shipped with. The PO intended on carb'ing it but never got around to putting an intake on the motor.

The harness...

Re: Chevy 305 Tpi changed for firebird 350 Tpi ?

You are correct. There are no Pontiac V8's in these cars, they are all Chevy V8's. Your 1988 350 TPI is a Chevy engine.

Re: Chevy 305 Tpi changed for firebird 350 Tpi ?

I don't think it did turn the other way when you first got it, you're remembering it wrong most likely.

The link is NOT wrong, it is correct for PONTIAC engines. You do NOT have a Pontiac engine,...

Re: Chevy 305 Tpi changed for firebird 350 Tpi ?
