I'm swapping TPI into my Caprice and I'd like to retain the cruise control. My car has the AC "Electro-Motor" cruise box used on a bunch of the B-bodies, trucks, and I think 4th gens got them.

Fluid level was the first thing I checked, spot on. Ambient temp doesn't seem to make a difference in my case, simply cold vs. up to operating temp

Haven't found much in the way of similar issues...

TBI car with the 4L60(700R4). When the trans isn't up to temp, all the shifts come in late at light throttle. For example, 1-2 won't happen till almost 30mph, 2-3 at almost 50, etc. .

I burned out the the fuel pump on my 92 TBI. I have a spare pump out of a V6 car, though I think it runs at a higher PSI. If i run the V6 pump, will it be too much for the TBI? Or doesn't it matter?...
