That is still common in Wisconsin. The fair grounds make a few bucks and the storage is generally the cheapest option, but you have to get the car there and then remove it on the prescribed days.

I do have the bypass valve that located behind the compressor that is to shot that off when AC is on. All the vacuum hoses are connected and appear to be running properly.

Cool story. Good luck in your continued search. I just a saw a young kid, probably 19 or 20, driving a late 80's blue IROC down my street. They have a distinct look to them even today.
