I don't know if the lines messed up or im just not doing it right. Do I push the plunger down and pull it all the way back? It seems WAY to tight when I do that... Im having trouble finding that...

yeah hes right. My valve covers are center bolts, so if yours are then you can buy it or if your willing to make those modifications.. Just let me know.

Its a flat tappet, I can give you the lifters with the cam too.. They appear to be in good condition. Hm I wonder why the link is not working let me try it again.

Ive recently took the engine apart, the cam and crank is still in there though.. What would be the best thing to spray it down and clean it up with.

Someone said mineral spirits? I was thinking...

So your saying if it was an oversized piston meaning the bore is a 4.030 (because when I bought it they said it was 30 over) Im not sure if they meant the cam or if they mean the actual bore size....

wouldn't you just assume that the 3.967 inches of the piston.. would mean the bore would be a 4.000?

Does anyone understand what im saying the oil ring spacer for a stock chevy 350 is HUGE.. it...

Um okay.... I guess I didn't explain this right.............

I work at advanced auto.. all the stock 350 oil spacer rings are HUGE.. compared to the one I have. Ive had many people look at them...

Okay this is what I got.. I thought it was a 305 I just took all the pistons out to re ring them... I cant find ANY rings that match up to the size..

I found out its a 350.. here is the numbers...

I was paranoid :) I bought a gauge today and it stays between 190-210 lol.. It may be the throttle blades.. but it also may be my ignition switch.. because I took it to advanced and the guy there...

Yes sir! It was infact the alternator, car runs and starts up perfectly now.. Well except for the un tuned carb.. Ill have to tune it tomorrow.

Plus my manager took my alternator back and I asked...

Yeah I work at an Advanced auto parts store.. So I got it tested and they said it was fine, but I know its def that. If it was a short It would def at least charge while driving not die completely.....

No need to be rude man. He's helped me out more than anyone else, plus if I were to go this route not that hard to fill it with di electric grease and wrap it with electrical tape.

It has a thick yellow and purple wiring going to the pigtail, so does that have to get plugged into the gear selector switch?

Is this switch actually on my frame or is it on the plastic piece...

No, that does not look anything like my wiring diagram. I have no pink wire going to my starter, instead the pink wire goes to my Distributor. Purple goes to the starter.

The main light switch (in the dash panel where you turn it to turn the lights on) there are a couple wires coming out of the back. Going to the high beams and all that. Then there is a red power...
