Re: Firebirds with Corvette wheels

You have a nice side shot of your car? I have C5 speedlines ready to go on mine and I'm trying to decide between Sportlines or Pro's. Any comment on running Sportlines?

I daily drive my '88 Formula. had 183,000 on it when I got it. Now it has 198,000. Plan on prepping and undercoating it before winter hits. Gotta deal with the little bit of floor pan rust it came...

Re: First data log!

DataMaster itself is free to download but you can only record data 20 times before you have to purchase a license. You can use all it's other features however many times, I believe.

Re: Chip memory range

Thank you. For 27C128 EPROMs, the actual .bin data needs to be at the end it appears. From address 004000 to end (007FFF) when using the 27SF512 EEPROM.

Re: First data log!

I guess I figured it wouldn't be a big deal as DataMaster is free and easy to obtain. I'm pretty sure I don't have VATS. There is no pin on the ECM for it and no wiring in the harness. I thought it...

Looking for ABYA stock .bin

I'm looking for an unmolested ABYA .bin for my MAF TPI 350 with cold start. Got an adapter from moates so I don't think I can really read from the stock prom.

Re: Thermostat, heater, fan, temp questions...

Hmm, well, The temp "sender" probably doesn't have anything to do with your issue. It just tells the gauges, it shouldn't control the fans. You have two coolant sensors?

Re: Thermostat, heater, fan, temp questions...

If your able to mess with it now, and can find the sensor, I'd unplug it while it's running and see if that stops the fans, sort of a poor mans test. If you unplug it the PCM will read that as -40...

Re: Thermostat, heater, fan, temp questions...

I'm assuming it's right around the thermostat housing. Should be a two wire sensor screwed into the housing, intake or block.

Re: Thermostat, heater, fan, temp questions...

My bad, I was looking at the diagram and noticed that the power supplied to the relay is "hot at all times" so if a stuck relay was your culprit, it would run even when the vehicle is off.

It's definitely sparking, I haven't tested with a spark tester per say but you can at least hear it arching when I take the plug wire off of the spark plug. It has 190700 miles on it.
