I bought the whole lot off another member here about 4 years ago. The y-pipe has a hollow cat on it; I'm positive its at least 2.75" after the Y, but I can't say for certain until I measure it.

Thanks for the replies--good to hear it can be done a number of ways. When I get around to it I'll probably just pull the motor, since I'd like to put in a mild cam & maybe refresh the heads.
