Just an updat to let folks know that the Cantara sold last spring to a guy who also owns a DeLorean. So it's in good hands and hopefully won't be butchered.

I agree with this. I just replaced mine with a Mevotech GK 6249 from Rock Auto. I'm on a budget and just picked the one that shipped from the same location as some other parts for my wife's car.

It is. Mine was unscrewing slightly as it turned, and that was causing slop. I tried tightening the nut on the bottom but couldn't get it to work, so I just replaced it.

Motors do go bad occasionally, but in my case it didn't work period. 12V straight to the motor and nada. Turns out one of the brushes had disintegrated. I soldered in a replacement and it works...

It's a little bit of work, but I bet the passenger and driver seatback foam is the same. You could swap the foam side to side.

First thing you should check is the ground bolt on the wiper motor. It's the upper bolt on the passenger side. Loosen it then retighten should clean up the connection.

Have you checked the small two wire connector down on the bottom of the motor? If that's loose it might only run on the park circuit.
