You simply cut some 2x6 lumber and stack it in increments in front of the ramps until its high enough to safely hit the ramp. Lowered doesn't mean you need a lift.

you need to look else where for the sending unit....
you need to look else where for the sending unit. more then likely that is the problem. I would change this first. had the same problem, fixed it by replacing the sending unit.
