as long as its 305 block casting numbers i say run it....i didn't stroke it....and for what im running it won't need it. but i have no issues with running against stroked 305's

i don't really want a 3rd gen, things are built too weak. my 2nd gen runs mid 9's with a bone stock rear end. more room for exhaust and engine. i sold all mine to hawk :) heres a video of the 305...

nothing out of the ordinary, just had to clearance the block and bottom of the cylinders a bit for the rods to clear them, the h beams give lots of cam clearance but come closer to the oil pan rail...
