remember stock springs on vortec heads are obly good till about .470 lift. Id say a 350 with that cam and vortec heads a 650 should do fine

Oh and i ran an airgap intake and a Holley drop-base air...

Looks like the strainer for the 82-86 carbed cars is still available, Im thinking just cutting the tube off my bad carb sending unit and using the compression fittings to splice it to the efi unit....

the stuff that was on the car was poorly done, most of it came off with a regular scraper, also wire wheel and brushes to strip the rest and the surface rust off. Just be prepared to get real dirty...
