If it's the yellow single tube/caulk gun seam seal, it's garbage...It will dry out and crack to the point that you will be doing it again in a year or two. Especially if you laid it on "extra thick"....

One question, why? You can move the stops, but not much.(And it may only be for the "up" position...for water leaks and adjustment to the roof, you might not be able to adjust for the down position...

Definitely source original bolts. Seat belt bolts are specifically for this purpose. They are a safety item and will be the correct length, pitch, and hardness.

Those are Keystone wrappers...did you "send them out" or replace them with "new aftermarket"? If you did indeed send them out, how were you assured that they recond your existing GM parts and return...

If you painted to the tape edge, you won't "get rid" of the line. You can minimize it by wetsanding and buffing down the edge, but that will burn off both the existing paint and the fresh paint on...

You can try "Bulldog" brand, by Kleenstrip. They have made some good products for a few years. Try your local paint jobber...
I'd steer you to sand it, then. I get pretty leery of heavy strippers...

They used to have the 4 digit represent both colors. The first half was main body, second two numbers were accent. (or vice-versa). Then for a while, you actually got the accent color on the SPID...

Looks like the piece the glass adjustment sweep bolts in to so it can slide... once the piece is bolted tight, they clamp together. This one should be underneath the sill. (If my recollection serves)
