Everything is working good now, Seems I had the AC request polarity set inverted and forgot about it.
And the 1k pullups did the trick just right. The variable speed controller works as expected...

Your 427 computer will still be receiving sensor data from the engine just as it does now, it just wont be able to control the fuel or ignition.

yes correct, the stock ecu will not use the wideband signal for closed loop operation. the stock code isnt written to do that. The only thing the cars computer will be doing with that wideband signal...

Are you running code 59? I haven't used the "auto tune" utility you link to before, but it looks like it is designed specifically for code 59. If you are using anything else it probably wont work.

I would think that with a timing light you should be able to see the rotor position when it fires.
Personally I'd just use an old cap and cut a window in it with a dremel or something similar.
