Re: Camaro heaven is no good...

Years ago I had been to their location and it was stocked full of parts. Recently, I had tried many times to contact them for various things and the service and replies were anything but "good"....

Edelbrock Performer 600 carb w/electric choke

I've got an Edelbrock Performer 600 carb (electric choke) for sale which has worked very well for me. I stored the car over winter with too little gas in it. When I got the car out this year, and...

Re: Camaro heaven is no good...

Blackblazer... we need folks like Chuck and his business! As I said, he's been a good guy to deal with for me, but, if you are hanging with him PLEASE tell him about our customer service concerns. I...

Re: Who says 20's are too much on a thirdgen!!

A bit back in the thread, Norm Peterson wrote

"Wheels should complement a car's styling, and be a part of it. Not overpower it and subdue everything else."

I've never really liked the looks of...

Power Steering pump belt help!

I've done a bit of work on the car recently, and Power Steering pump replacement was on the list. When I got the pump off the car, I messed up (please don't ask!) the pulley and needed to get a...

Re: Camaro heaven is no good...

Agreed on the customer service. I've had to chase them a couple times. In my line of work (network admin) fixing the computer is easy. Fixing the customer is the hard part.

Re: Camaro heaven is no good...

I've dealt with Chuck and Camaro heaven on and off for a while now. I have been to the Tilton location. It is in effect a big 'junkyard'. My experience has been positive (though not with out some...

Re: DONT BUY SPOHN TQ ARMS!

I've got the Spohn adjustable torque arm, with xmission crossmember as well. It changed the feel and behavior of the car for the better. One common thread on this topic seems to be patience....

Re: Something is whining while in first gear, what is it?

Heh... 85 TA with a T-5... Mine makes the same noises. It's like a Batmobile with the turbines going. I've owned the car for 12 years, and it's always done it (was rebuilt about 3 years into owning...

Re: "Clunk" on acceleration... not tranny mount

I had/still have the same exact issue. I don't think it's the torque arm mount. I replaced mine with spohn's tranny xmember mounted one and actually, I have more "clunk". There's 2 distinct ones now...

Re: Clanking sound after long or hard drive.

I've had similar experiences. 85TA with a T-5. I liken the sound to a lift hill on a roller coaster. Sure sounds evil doesn't it? Someone told me to service the rear with GM posi lube, and then go...

Re: 6 speed swap question

Perhaps this may help. Seems the xmember needs to be replaced as well.
You'll still need bell housing etc, but the tech guys at Spohn are excellent to work with. I can attest to their products...
